Walailak University Expands Academic Collaboration with Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia

📍 Bali, Indonesia – May 23, 2025 at 08:00 AM (local Bali time): A delegation from the School of Law, Walailak University visited the Faculty of Law, Udayana University as part of the 🌐 International Leadership in Education and Research Networking 2025 (iLEARN 2025) initiative to strengthen international academic partnerships.
The delegation was led by:
👤 Mr. Kanokphol Nikornpest – Acting Assistant Dean for International Affairs
👤 Ms. Yosita Saikhwan – Acting Head of the Law Program
👤 Asst. Prof. Siwarut Laikram – Acting Head of the Research Institution
👤 Mr. Nodtapol Buangern – Assistant to the Dean for Student Academic Development
📝 The visit commenced with an official opening ceremony, including the Indonesian national anthem, prayer, and a welcome address by
Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University.
Remarks on behalf of Walailak University were delivered by Mr. Kanokphol Nikornpest, reaffirming the university’s vision for academic collaboration 🇹🇭.
🤝 A highlight of the event was the academic cooperation between the two institutions, paving the way for joint efforts in education, research, student and faculty exchange, and international academic initiatives.

📌 A presentation on academic programs and student development by Mr. Nodtapol Buangern
📌 A research collaboration proposal by Asst. Prof. Siwarut Laikram
🗣️ In the afternoon, the delegation participated in an international academic seminar titled:
“Comparative Criminal Law Between Thailand and Indonesia in Theft and Embezzlement Offences.”
Speakers included representatives from both universities, and the seminar sparked dynamic academic dialogue and cross-cultural legal exchange.
🍽️ The event concluded with a friendly lunch and a campus tour, including key areas such as the Sanglah–Sudirman Campus, home to major academic and research facilities of the Faculty of Law.
