📅On 20 August 2025, the School of Law, Walailak University, led by lecturers and students, organized an academic service project titled “Looking back – Looking ahead: Is Thai Law Outdated or Flawless? – The Civil and Commercial Code” at 📍 Triam Udom Suksa School of the South and Debsirin Nakhon Si Thammarat School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
The activities included collaborative workshops with students and teachers to address real-life issues arising from the application of the Civil and Commercial Code, alongside providing 💬 legal consultations and conducting 📝 surveys of students’ and teachers’ perspectives on potential reforms of the Code. In addition, a special seminar under the same theme was held, attracting wide interest and active participation.
The project covered the 📘 Civil and Commercial Code in its entirety, focusing on rights, duties, and legal relationships relevant to everyday life. It aimed to help participants gain a clearer understanding of fundamental legal principles, while also creating an open platform for students and teachers to express their views on how Thai law should evolve to meet modern social contexts.
