Law students from Walailak University expanded their field-based learning experience through a study visit on emergency medicine and forensic medicine, enhancing their investigative and evidence examination skills in criminal cases.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, students from the Law Program, School of Law, Walailak University, participated in a study visit at the Emergency Medicine and Forensic Medicine Unit, Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital. The visit aimed to strengthen their knowledge and provide hands-on experience in forensic medicine, which serves as a crucial foundation for criminal investigations, inquiries, and evidence examination in court proceedings.

On this occasion, the Deputy Director of Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital warmly welcomed the students, along with a team of physicians and personnel from the Emergency Medicine and Forensic Medicine Unit. The team shared their expertise, professional experiences, and practical approaches in handling real-life situations, providing students with close and valuable learning opportunities.

This activity was conducted as part of the course LAW63-380: Forensic Medicine, offered in the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The activity was coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Surasak Wichitpongjinda, a special lecturer for the course, with Ms. Kwanmanee Maneechot serving as the course coordinator.

The objective of this study visit was to enable students to gain practical knowledge in forensic medicine, enhance their understanding of the role of forensic physicians in the justice system, and apply this knowledge effectively in their legal studies and future legal careers.
