The School of Law, Walailak University organized its New Student Orientation Program for the 2026 Academic Year on June 11, 2026, at Lecture Building 3, Room 3301, Walailak University. The program was designed to prepare incoming students for their academic journey and university life before the commencement of the new academic year.

The event was warmly attended by the School’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and the Law Student Association, who welcomed the new students and helped create a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Morning Session: Building the Foundation for a Legal Career

The morning program introduced students to the Bachelor of Laws curriculum and the opportunities available within the legal profession. A special keynote lecture entitled:

“Designing the Future of Legal Professionals: 21st-Century Skills, Career Opportunities, and Professional Growth”

was delivered by Associate Professor Naret Kesaprakorn, Dean of the School of Law. Students also received essential information and guidance from the School’s administrators and faculty members regarding academic expectations, student development, and available support services.

Afternoon Session: Welcoming Students to the LAWWU Family

In the afternoon, the Law Student Association organized a series of interactive activities to help students build connections and adjust to university life. Highlights included:

Special Talk: “Law School Survival Guide: How to Thrive in Law School”
Interactive Case Investigation Activity: “Conan: Retracing the Case”
Mentorship and Bonding Program: “Welcome to the Family”
Additional team-building and creative activities that encouraged new students to connect with their classmates, senior students, and faculty members.

The orientation program was designed to equip first-year students with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed for a successful transition into university life. It also fostered a strong sense of community, introduced students to the values and responsibilities of the legal profession, and inspired them to develop into competent, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals in the future.
