On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the School of Law, Walailak University, in collaboration with the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court, organized the “United for Mediation 2026” program at Lecture Building 3, Walailak University. The event attracted a large audience of students, faculty members, university staff, and members of the public.
The program featured distinguished speakers from the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court, including:
Ms. Samasjai Samasaed, Chief Judge of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court
Mr. Wasan Tanliang, Judge of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court
Mr. Watcharakorn Khongnil, Chief Judge of the Trial Division, Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court
The judges shared their expertise on the court-annexed mediation process and discussed practical approaches to resolving disputes through peaceful and constructive means within Thailand’s justice system.
The program aimed to enhance public understanding of dispute mediation, promote accessible, efficient, and free-of-charge mediation services offered by the courts, and encourage the peaceful resolution of conflicts through dialogue and mutual understanding.
Students who participated gained valuable insights from experienced members of the judiciary, strengthening their understanding of how legal principles are applied in real-world situations. The event also helped develop essential professional skills—including critical thinking, effective communication, negotiation, and mediation—which are fundamental competencies for future legal practitioners.
Through initiatives such as “United for Mediation 2026,” the School of Law, Walailak University continues to strengthen practical legal education while fostering a culture of peaceful conflict resolution and reinforcing its commitment to producing highly competent, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals.
