Law students of Walailak University had the valuable opportunity to study the Law of Evidence under the guidance of Professor (Special) Jaran Pakdithanakul, a nationally recognized legal expert with extensive experience in both academic scholarship and practical application within the justice system ⚖️
On Sunday, 7 December, and Monday, 8 December 2025, students enrolled in the course LAW63-352: Law of Evidence, offered in the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2025, were honored by lectures delivered by Professor (Special) Jaran Pakdithanakul. He provided in-depth lectures, shared essential knowledge, and exchanged practical experiences concerning evidentiary law, covering legal principles, relevant statutory provisions, and systematic approaches to the examination and analysis of evidence in both civil and criminal cases.
The students undertook an intensive 48-hour learning program led by an expert from the justice system, designed to align with the evaluation criteria of the Institute of Legal Education of the Thai Bar Association (Netibandhit Council). This initiative aimed to enhance students’ legal knowledge, understanding, and essential professional skills required for their future legal careers.
The course content comprehensively covered general principles of law and evidence, rules governing the examination and admissibility of evidence, the duties and burden of proof of the parties, as well as methods of presenting evidence. These methods were addressed both generally and by specific categories, including witness testimony, documentary evidence, physical evidence, and expert evidence. Particular emphasis was placed on the stringent standards of proof in criminal cases. The program sought to ensure that students develop a well-rounded understanding of fact-finding processes and are able to effectively apply evidentiary principles in practical legal contexts.
This learning experience reflects the School of Law’s commitment to providing high-quality, practice-oriented legal education that prepares students for professional excellence in the legal field.
