On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, students from the Law Program participated in a study visit to strengthen their experiential learning and deepen their integrated understanding between medical science and the criminal justice system at the Forensic and Pathology Unit, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital.

This study visit provided students with the opportunity to closely observe forensic practices, including medical evidence examination, autopsy procedures, and the role of pathology in supporting factual findings in legal cases. These are all essential components in criminal investigations and in presenting evidence during court proceedings.

On this occasion, the students were honored to receive knowledge and guidance from the medical personnel of Walailak University Medical Center Hospital, who shared their expertise, experiences, and systematic approaches to handling real-case scenarios. This enabled students to recognize the importance of accuracy, precision, and professional ethics, which are fundamental to the justice system.

The activity was part of the course LAW63-380: Forensic Medicine, offered in the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The course was coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Surasak Wichitpongjinda, a special lecturer, and Ms. Kwanmanee Maneechot, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, who served as the course coordinator.

This field-based learning experience reflects the School of Law’s educational approach, which emphasizes the integration of legal knowledge with other disciplines in a concrete manner. The aim is to develop students’ academic competence, analytical skills, and comprehensive understanding of the justice system, forming a strong foundation for pursuing professional legal careers with quality and social responsibility in the future.
