On May 19, 2026, Assistant Professor Tinlapat Chuphantanarakul, Acting Head of the Research Unit at the Walailak University School of Law, was assigned by the Dean of the School of Law to join Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongkorrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation of Walailak University, in attending the ASEAN Young Scientists Connect (AYSC) 2026 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

The event served as a regional platform for research and innovation collaboration across ASEAN, bringing together researchers, funding agencies, and academic institutions to exchange knowledge on international research partnerships, interdisciplinary research, and opportunities to access international research funding. The forum also provided valuable opportunities to establish academic networks that will contribute to strengthening research capacity and enhancing the internationalization of the School of Law.

As part of the program, the delegation participated in a Brainstorming Session to develop a research proposal on the theme of a “Digital Health Ecosystem.” The proposed project aims to improve public access to reliable health information across ASEAN—particularly for youth and older adults—through the use of chatbots, gamification, and micro-content, with the long-term goal of contributing to future ASEAN-level policy development.

Participation in this international academic forum represents an important opportunity for the School of Law to expand its expertise in law and innovation, strengthen international research collaboration, enrich research experiences for students, and enhance the capabilities of future law graduates to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global society.
