On June 20, 2026, the School of Law, Walailak University, in collaboration with the Law Student Association, organized the “Code Book Presentation Ceremony for the Sons and Daughters of Prince Rapee – 12th Cohort” at Lecture Building 5. The ceremony was attended by the School’s administrators, faculty members, and students, who gathered to witness this meaningful tradition. During the event, faculty members delivered words of encouragement and shared valuable insights to inspire first-year students and instill the ideals and values of the legal profession.

The “Code Book for the Sons and Daughters of Prince Rapee” ceremony is far more than the presentation of a law book to first-year students. It symbolizes the transmission of legal knowledge, wisdom, and the enduring spirit of the legal profession from one generation to the next. The code book represents an “intellectual weapon”—an essential tool that will accompany students throughout their legal education, support their academic pursuits, and reinforce their commitment to the rule of law throughout their future professional careers.

As part of the ceremony, faculty members presented each first-year student with a copy of the Civil and Commercial Code, one of the most fundamental legal references for every law student and legal practitioner. The presentation was accompanied by heartfelt words of encouragement, expressing the faculty’s confidence, care, and aspirations for the students as they embark on their journey toward becoming knowledgeable, competent, and ethical legal professionals.
