From June 30 to July 11, 2025, representatives from the School of Law, Walailak University, attended an academic training program titled \u201cHigh-quality Development and Intellectual Property Protection\u201d, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) in Chongqing, People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>

The delegation was led by:
\ud83d\udc68\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2696\ufe0f Mr. Natthaphon Buangern, Assistant Dean for Student Academic Development, School of Law
Accompanied by four third-year students selected to participate in the program:

\u270d\ufe0f The training program welcomed over 50 participants from various countries, including representatives from both the public and private sectors such as national judicial institutes, legal practitioners, judges, lawyers, prosecutors, as well as academic institutions from ASEAN member states and international communities. The event was graciously hosted by the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>

\u270d\ufe0f The main objectives of the program were to promote academic excellence and international cooperation, with key goals including:<\/p>

Strengthening academic networks among legal professionals, scholars, and practitioners from China, ASEAN countries, and Western nations<\/p>

Exchanging knowledge in the field of intellectual property law, including sharing research findings and specialized expertise<\/p>

Enhancing the international image and reputation of the university<\/p>

Fostering strong relations between the university and academic institutions, legal entities, and governmental\/private organizations in the Asia region<\/p>
