\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/b>August 7\u20138, 2025 Walailak University, through the Faculty of Law, has been continuously conducting academic service activities for communities to create educational opportunities and improve people\u2019s quality of life. Most recently, on August 7\u20138, 2025, faculty members, staff, and law students organized academic service activities at the \u201cPhra Phrom Games\u201d event at Thepsirin Nakhon Si Thammarat School (formerly Chalerm Ratcha Pracha Uthit School), Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.<\/p>

\ud83c\udf0f<\/strong> Activity Framework<\/strong>: <\/strong>Sustainable Development Goals <\/strong>(<\/strong>SDGs<\/strong>)<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This activity was organized under the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals <\/strong>(<\/strong>SDGs<\/strong>)<\/strong>, focusing on:<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SDG 4<\/strong>.<\/strong>3<\/strong>.<\/strong>4<\/strong>:<\/strong> Access to quality education<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SDG 17<\/strong>.<\/strong>2<\/strong>.<\/strong>5<\/strong>:<\/strong> Creating sustainable learning processes<\/p>

The aim was to improve education and provide opportunities for youth and community members to access knowledge equitably.<\/p>

\ud83d\udca1 Academic Services for the Community: Legal Knowledge & English Skills<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This academic service project focused on two key areas of knowledge: Law<\/strong> and English<\/strong>, both essential in today\u2019s world to build skills and understanding for the community.<\/p>

\ud83d\udcda<\/strong> Legal Knowledge<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Students in the courses LAW67<\/strong>–<\/strong>211 Civil and Commercial Law on Obligations<\/strong> and LAW67<\/strong>–<\/strong>213 Civil and Commercial Law on Property<\/strong> presented key content on legal borrowing<\/strong> and legally valid <\/strong>loan contracts<\/strong>. The focus was on practical knowledge<\/strong> that people could apply in everyday life. Additionally, topics on fraud prevention<\/strong> were included to raise awareness about financial scams and potential legal risks in contracts.\ud83c\udf0d<\/strong> English Language Skills<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Students in LAW63<\/strong>–<\/strong>367 English for Legal Reading and Research<\/strong> developed learning materials in the form of Brochures <\/strong>\/ <\/strong>Links <\/strong>\/ <\/strong>QR Codes<\/strong> containing content on International Legal News<\/strong> and Legal Vocabulary<\/strong>. These resources aimed to enhance reading, translation, and legal research skills at the international level, making knowledge more accessible and modern for both youth and the wider community.<\/p>

\ud83c\udfaf Integration with SDG Goals<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The academic service activities were designed to align with key SDG indicators:<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \ud83c\udfaf<\/strong> SDG 4<\/strong>.<\/strong>3<\/strong>.<\/strong>4<\/strong>:<\/strong> Access to Quality Education<\/p>

Through workshop-based learning and group learning activities, opportunities were created for students, teachers, and community members to access quality knowledge equally.<\/p>

The Faculty of Law at Walailak University fostered educational partnerships among universities, schools, and various organizations to create a learning society and sustainable development processes in the long run.<\/p>

\ud83c\udf31 Towards a Learning and Sustainable Community<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This academic service project not only provided legal and English knowledge but also created educational opportunities<\/strong>, strengthened community capacity<\/strong>, and cultivated life skills<\/strong> to help youth and community members keep pace with modern societal changes.
