data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On 20 August 2025, the <strong>School of Law, Walailak University<\/strong>, led by lecturers, staffs, and students, organized a community outreach activity under the project <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Simple Law<\/strong><strong>: <\/strong><strong>Know Your Rights, Stay Ahead<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong> at the <strong>Rehabilitation and Elderly Learning Center, Thung Tha Lat Community<\/strong>, operated by the Division of Social Welfare, Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udc93 The activity was designed to provide essential legal knowledge relevant to the daily lives of the elderly. \ud83d\udc74\ud83c\udffb\ud83e\uddd3\ud83c\udffb It featured a <strong>role play on inheritance law and marriage equality<\/strong>, which created an engaging and accessible learning atmosphere, as well as <strong>lectures on inheritance law, loan agreements, and debt guarantees<\/strong>. In addition, law students worked closely with elderly participants in a one-on-one format to listen to their concerns, offer advice, and explain how to draft a legally binding will \ud83d\udcdd\ud83d\udc69\u200d\u2696\ufe0f\ud83d\udc68\u200d\u2696\ufe0f.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udcda The project is part of the <strong>integration of academic courses with social engagement<\/strong>, ensuring that legal education is applied in practical contexts. The courses involved include:<br \/>\u2705 LAW63-214 Family Law<\/p><p>\u2705 LAW63-215 Succession Law<\/p><p>\u2705 LAW67-213 Property Law<\/p><p>\u2705 LAW67-221 Specific Contracts I<\/p><p>\u2705 LAW67-222 Specific Contracts II<\/p><p>\u2705 LAW67-224 Loan, Deposit, and Secured Transactions Law<\/p><p>This initiative also reflects Walailak University\u2019s commitment to the <strong>Sustainable Development Goals <\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>SDGs<\/strong><strong>):<\/strong><\/p><p>\ud83d\udea9 <strong>SDG 4<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>3<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>4<\/strong>: Education outreach activities beyond campus<\/p><p>\ud83d\udea9 <strong>SDG 17<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>2<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>5<\/strong>: Building sustainable learning processes to enhance education and create equal opportunities for all to access knowledge<\/p><p>\u267b\ufe0f In addition, the project supports the <strong>UI Green Metric World University Rankings<\/strong> indicators under <strong>Education and Research <\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>ED<\/strong><strong>):<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>ED1<\/strong>: Ratio of sustainability-related courses to total courses offered<\/li><li><strong>ED10<\/strong>: Number of sustainability-related community services organized by the university with active student involvement<\/li><\/ul><p>\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udcbc <strong>Miss Yosita Saikhwan<\/strong>, acting Head of the School of Law and Project Leader, remarked: <em>\u201c<\/em><em>This activity provided an excellent opportunity to deliver legal knowledge directly to the elderly, empowering them to manage their lives and assets with confidence<\/em><em>. <\/em><em>At the same time, it created a valuable platform for students to gain practical learning experiences and contribute meaningfully to sustainable social development<\/em><em>.\u201d<\/em>.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udc49 Importantly, this activity received <strong>overwhelmingly positive feedback from the elderly participants<\/strong>, who expressed their appreciation with <strong>love, smiles, and laughter throughout the event<\/strong>.
