School of Law Walailak University, organises Constitution Day activities of Academic year 2023

On 11 December 2023, the School of Law Walailak University organise a Constitution Day Academic year 2023, honoured by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wijittra Petchkit, Assistant Rector and Acting Dean, gave an opening speech for the project, which was attended by teachers and students.

This is so that students can recognise the importance of Constitution Day, which is the highest legal day of the country, and know the history of Constitution Day as a guideline for studying law as well as to enhance analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and speaking skills. These are all important skills of being a lawyer.

Lecturers from the Law Programme presented international academic work at the Asian Institute of Technology Conference Center.

On 7-8 December 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wachiraporn Puangchinda, Acting Deputy Dean of the School of Law, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Shubarm Pathak, School of Graduate Studies participated in presenting academic work at the Conference for the 3rd International Symposium on Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development (DRSD 2023).
Topic: “Constitutional law provisions towards disaster management in Thailand” at the Asian Institute of Technology Conference Center, Pathum Thani Province.

On 6 December 2023, the School of Law Walailak University, led by Professor Amonrat Ammartsena, head of the research institute along with teachers and students, they went to the area to collect information on the development of the Na Bon District area, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

There was a student from the School of Law, Ms. Manyuta Jaithaharn, 2nd year, who received the 4th runner-up award and Mr. Nathan Thongnuan, who received the 1st place award. On 26 October 2023, Ms. Amornrat Ammatsena, Acting Head of the Research Center, Ms. Yosita Saikhwan and Mr. Kanokphol Nikornpach, Lecturers of the School of Law participated in representing the School of Law in welcoming and joining in the conversation and exchanging information with a group of guests from the Postgraduate School of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, on the occasion of their visit to Walailak University to continue and create cooperation International Collaboration together in the future.

On 1 November 2023, Mister Kanokphol Nikornpach, lecturer of the School of Law, Walailak University warmly welcomed the teachers and students of Matthayom 5 from Thida Mae Phra School, Surat Thani, Thailand.
It was advised to continue studying law at Walailak University and to take a tour of the moot courtroom. This also allows students to ask questions about their legal education and learn to role-play in a moot court.
