Law students of Walailak University had the valuable opportunity to study the Law of Evidence under the guidance of Professor (Special) Jaran Pakdithanakul, a nationally recognized legal expert with extensive experience in both academic scholarship and practical application within the justice system ⚖️

On Sunday, 7 December, and Monday, 8 December 2025, students enrolled in the course LAW63-352: Law of Evidence, offered in the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2025, were honored by lectures delivered by Professor (Special) Jaran Pakdithanakul. He provided in-depth lectures, shared essential knowledge, and exchanged practical experiences concerning evidentiary law, covering legal principles, relevant statutory provisions, and systematic approaches to the examination and analysis of evidence in both civil and criminal cases.

The students undertook an intensive 48-hour learning program led by an expert from the justice system, designed to align with the evaluation criteria of the Institute of Legal Education of the Thai Bar Association (Netibandhit Council). This initiative aimed to enhance students’ legal knowledge, understanding, and essential professional skills required for their future legal careers.

The course content comprehensively covered general principles of law and evidence, rules governing the examination and admissibility of evidence, the duties and burden of proof of the parties, as well as methods of presenting evidence. These methods were addressed both generally and by specific categories, including witness testimony, documentary evidence, physical evidence, and expert evidence. Particular emphasis was placed on the stringent standards of proof in criminal cases. The program sought to ensure that students develop a well-rounded understanding of fact-finding processes and are able to effectively apply evidentiary principles in practical legal contexts.

This learning experience reflects the School of Law’s commitment to providing high-quality, practice-oriented legal education that prepares students for professional excellence in the legal field.

On Wednesday, 3 December 2025, the School of Law, Walailak University, organized the Homeroom Activity for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2025. The event was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Nares Ketsaprakorn, Acting Dean of the School of Law, together with the School’s executive team, who met and engaged in discussions with law students from all academic years. The session aimed to provide guidance on legal studies and to enhance students’ understanding of future career pathways in the legal profession. The activity was held at the Thaiburi Grand Conference Hall.

In parallel, academic advisors conducted small-group meetings with their advisees in seminar rooms within the Central Lecture Building, offering academic counseling, personal guidance, and advice on university life. These sessions also sought to strengthen close and supportive relationships between faculty members and students.

This activity reflects the School of Law’s strong commitment to comprehensive student support, ensuring that students are well guided academically and personally, and are well prepared to progress confidently and successfully throughout their legal education with quality and purpose.

On 28 November 2025, the School of Law, Walailak University, led by Ajarn Kwanmanee Maneechot, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, together with the Law Student Union, warmly welcomed teachers and students from Sichon Khunathan Witthaya School on the occasion of their participation in the “Rapi Camp” program under the Social Studies, Religion, and Culture learning area.

The program aimed to promote accurate legal knowledge among students, stimulate their interest in pursuing higher education in law, and provide opportunities for experiential learning. Representatives from the Law Student Union organized knowledge-sharing activities and conducted a mock court trial simulation to enhance students’ understanding in a concrete and practical manner.

On 26 November 2025, prior to the 8th Walailak University Executive Meeting of the Academic Year 2025, held at Moklan Room, 3rd Floor, Professor Dr. Vichit Srisa-an Building, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presented floral bouquets to students and faculty members of the School of Law in recognition of their outstanding achievements and their contribution to enhancing the University’s reputation.

Students from the School of Law participated in the Inter-University Legal Quiz Competition organized by the Office of the Region 8 Court of Justice and successfully won First Prize. In addition, they were selected as representatives of Region 8 to advance to the national-level legal quiz competition.

On 14 November 2025, the International Affairs Center of Walailak University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Phatthanarit Supakorn, Director of the International Affairs Center, extended a warm welcome and chaired a meeting to discuss academic cooperation with a senior executive delegation from Saint-Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics (SPbUMTE), Russian Federation.

The School of Law, Walailak University, extends its heartfelt congratulations to all faculty members of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program on their outstanding teaching evaluation results under The United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), United Kingdom, for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2025.

All participants received student evaluation scores averaging above 4.50 out of a full score of 5.00, representing 100 percent achievement, which reflects the high standard and excellence of teaching and learning management within the School.

The School of Law, Walailak University, recently participated in a collaborative meeting with The University of Faisalabad (TUF), Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to discuss avenues for advancing international academic cooperation.
On Friday, 7 November 2025, the executive delegation from The University of Faisalabad, led by Professor Dr. Aman Ullah Malik, Rector, together with Dr. Mubashra Naz, Dean and Head of the Department of Nursing, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq, Dean of the Faculty of Management, and Dr. Atiqa Saleem, Lecturer from the Faculty of Law, joined an online meeting via Zoom with representatives of Walailak University’s administration. The meeting aimed to explore potential frameworks for strengthening international academic collaboration.
The meeting was jointly organized by the International Affairs Center of Walailak University, in collaboration with the School of Law, School of Management, and School of Nursing, with the objective of fostering international academic networks and advancing the university’s global engagement mission.

On October 25, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China, a delegation from Walailak University, led by Assoc. Prof. Nares Kesaprakorn, Acting Dean of the School of Law, together with Dr. Kratthima Phattanasin and Mr. Kanokphon Nikornpaes, Acting Assistant Dean for International Affairs, participated in the “Seminar on Thailand–China Civilizational Learning and Innovative Cooperation in Legal Education” organized by Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) in Chongqing, People’s Republic of China.

On this occasion, Walailak University and SWUPL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic collaboration, student and faculty exchanges, and joint research development in the field of law.

From 9–10 October 2025, Pradipa Suwanrat, Lecturer at the School of Law, Walailak University, participated in the 10th Biennial Conference of the Asian Society of International Law (AsianSIL), hosted by the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV) at Hanoi Law University, Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The conference, held under the theme “Strengthening the Role of International Law in Asia,” served as a platform for the exchange of academic insights and perspectives among scholars, experts, and researchers from across the region.

At this prestigious event, Pradipa presented her scholarly work that highlights the academic excellence and research potential of the School of Law, Walailak University.
