The School of Law, Walailak University proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Khwanmanee Maneechot, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Lecturer in the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Program, on her achievement of the Fellow designation under the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF).

The UKPSF is an internationally recognized professional framework established in the United Kingdom to promote excellence in teaching, learning, and the support of student learning in higher education. Attaining Fellow status demonstrates a high standard of professional practice, a strong commitment to educational quality, and excellence in enhancing the student learning experience.

The recognition has been effective since April 28, 2026.

Walailak University School of Law Enhances International Legal Expertise through Participation in the DTLA International Law Symposium 2026

As part of its commitment to advancing legal education to international standards, the School of Law, Walailak University, sent faculty members to participate in the DTLA International Law Symposium 2026, strengthening academic capacity and enriching students’ learning in an increasingly globalized world.

On May 28–29, 2026, Mr. Peet Phimanphrom and Mr. Sawetchat Japsin, lecturers at the Walailak University School of Law, were appointed as the School’s representatives to attend the DTLA International Law Symposium 2026, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangkok, Thailand.

The symposium served as an important academic platform for the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and experiences in the field of international law. It brought together representatives from government agencies, academics, legal advisers, legal practitioners, and experts in international law from various institutions in Thailand and abroad.

Participation in this symposium reflects the School’s strong commitment to enhancing the academic and research capabilities of its faculty members, ensuring they remain current with developments in international law and the evolving global legal landscape. The knowledge, professional networks, and experiences gained from the symposium will be integrated into the School’s teaching, research, and academic activities, contributing to a more dynamic and internationally oriented legal education.

Walailak University School of Law Visits the University of Phayao to Exchange Best Practices on Dual-Degree Programs

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Associate Professor Naret Kesaprakorn, Acting Dean of the Walailak University School of Law, together with a delegation of university administrators led by Assistant Professor Dr. Suthanya Duang-in, Assistant to the President, visited the University of Phayao for a study visit and academic exchange on the management of dual-degree programs.

The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and best practices in the administration of dual-degree curricula, educational services, and higher education support systems. These initiatives are recognized as key mechanisms for advancing modern higher education by integrating interdisciplinary knowledge and equipping students with diverse competencies to meet the evolving demands of society, the economy, and the future workforce.

The Walailak University delegation was warmly welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Chonthida Thephinlap, Vice President for Academic Affairs, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Namngern Chanthramanee, Director of the Institute for Learning Innovation, the Director of the Division of Educational Services, and the Head of the Educational Services Office. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for both institutions to exchange ideas and experiences in educational development.

The study visit was held at the Active Learning Room in the New Academic Building at the University of Phayao, Phayao Province. Walailak University School of Law Participates in ASEAN Young Scientists Connect 2026, Strengthening International Research Collaboration

On May 19, 2026, Assistant Professor Tinlapat Chuphantanarakul, Acting Head of the Research Unit at the Walailak University School of Law, was assigned by the Dean of the School of Law to join Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongkorrungsilp, Vice President for Research and Innovation of Walailak University, in attending the ASEAN Young Scientists Connect (AYSC) 2026 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

The event served as a regional platform for research and innovation collaboration across ASEAN, bringing together researchers, funding agencies, and academic institutions to exchange knowledge on international research partnerships, interdisciplinary research, and opportunities to access international research funding. The forum also provided valuable opportunities to establish academic networks that will contribute to strengthening research capacity and enhancing the internationalization of the School of Law.

As part of the program, the delegation participated in a Brainstorming Session to develop a research proposal on the theme of a “Digital Health Ecosystem.” The proposed project aims to improve public access to reliable health information across ASEAN—particularly for youth and older adults—through the use of chatbots, gamification, and micro-content, with the long-term goal of contributing to future ASEAN-level policy development.

Participation in this international academic forum represents an important opportunity for the School of Law to expand its expertise in law and innovation, strengthen international research collaboration, enrich research experiences for students, and enhance the capabilities of future law graduates to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global society.

Walailak University School of Law Strengthens International Academic Collaboration with Green University of Bangladesh

The Walailak University School of Law continues to expand its international academic network by holding a collaborative meeting with the Green University of Bangladesh to explore opportunities for cooperation in legal education, curriculum development, student and staff exchange programs, and the promotion of international academic activities.

The meeting was organized in collaboration with the Center for International Affairs (CIA), Walailak University, led by the Director of the Center and the CIA team, who joined the discussion to identify potential areas of mutual cooperation.

During the meeting, the School of Law presented an overview of its academic programs, highlighted the strengths of its internationally oriented legal education, and showcased its readiness for international collaboration and student mobility initiatives.

This meeting marks another significant milestone in the School’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and expand its global academic network, reinforcing its commitment to providing students and faculty with greater opportunities for international engagement.

Walailak University President Congratulates School of Law Lecturer on Academic Promotion

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, Mr. Tinlapat Chuphantanarakul, a lecturer at the School of Law, Walailak University, received a bouquet of flowers and a certificate of congratulations from Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University.

The recognition was presented in celebration of his appointment to the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Business Law.

The presentation ceremony took place prior to the 5th Academic Council Meeting of 2026 at the Mok Lan Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Professor Dr. Vichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University.

During the event, parents attended a special lecture delivered by the Acting Dean on the topic:

The session provided valuable insights into the School’s academic programs, student support system, professional development initiatives, and career opportunities within the legal profession. In addition, **Dr. Korathima Pattanasilp**, Assistant Dean for Public Relations and Student Academic Development, and **Ms. Khwanmanee Maneechot**, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, introduced the curriculum, learning system, student development programs, extracurricular activities, and the comprehensive student support services available throughout the students’ academic journey.

Walailak University School of Law Welcomes Exchange Students from Russia

The School of Law at Walailak University held a meeting via Zoom with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), St. Petersburg to discuss and prepare for the arrival of full-time inbound exchange students for the 2026 academic year.

The School is delighted to welcome two exchange students:

During the meeting, the participants discussed several key topics, including:

Course registration options, such as English for Lawyers, Intellectual Property Law, and other law-related courses.
The application process through Google Forms.
Guidelines for preparing the Learning Agreement and the course registration process.
Required documents for applying for a student visa.

In addition, Ms. Tatiana Grishanina was appointed by RANEPA as the primary coordinator for this international student exchange program.

This initiative reflects the School of Law’s strong commitment to promoting international academic collaboration and providing students with valuable opportunities to learn in a truly multicultural environment.

Youth Camp on Law and Political Science 2026 The School of Law, Walailak University, in collaboration with YOUNG JUSTICE and Nakhon Inter Law Office, organized the “Youth Camp on Law and Political Science 2026” from 24–26 April 2026. The event was held at the BOTA HOME & CAMP Conference Hall, Walailak University Botanical Park, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The School of Law, Walailak University, in collaboration with YOUNG JUSTICE and Nakhon Inter Law Office, organized the “Youth Camp on Law and Political Science 2026” from 24–26 April 2026. The event was held at the BOTA HOME & CAMP Conference Hall, Walailak University Botanical Park, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.

This project was initiated through the cooperation of partner networks to promote knowledge, understanding, and skills in law and political science among youth in Nakhon Si Thammarat and nearby areas. It also aimed to instill awareness of rights, duties, and social responsibility, as well as to prepare participants for higher education.

Recognizing the importance of this initiative, the School of Law, Walailak University, took part as a co-organizer by providing the venue, personnel, and guest speakers to ensure the successful implementation of the program and the achievement of its objectives in developing youth potential in a holistic manner.

The camp featured a variety of activities, including orientation and program briefings, the activity “My Goals, My Path: Law & Politics Camp” to help participants explore their personal goals, inspirational sessions on pathways in law and political science, and “Future in Action: Youth and the Power of Change.” There were also hands-on workshops such as “My Dream Village,” along with recreational activities designed to enhance teamwork and build relationships among participants.

In addition, the project aimed to establish a network of collaboration with external organizations, such as courts, public prosecutor offices, law firms, and educational institutions. It also served as a platform to promote the curriculum and potential of the School of Law, Walailak University, to a wider audience.

This camp represents another significant initiative that reflects the role of higher education institutions in enhancing youth quality and fostering responsible, knowledgeable citizens who are ready to become key contributors to society in the future.
